Hennig Research Group
We are happy to welcome you to our website! In the following, we would like to provide you a brief overview of who we are and what we are doing. We are an international workgroup and we speak English in the lab and during our group meetings. Our research is multidisciplinary and we use methods from organic and supramolecular chemistry, optical spectroscopy, and we work with nano- and biomaterials. The research is focused on functional supramolecular systems in complex environments and the goal is to develop applications for bioanalysis, materials science, drug discovery and molecular imaging. If you are interested in joining us, please check out our vacancies.

Sensors
We detect biomolecules and other analytes with our supramolecular sensor systems.
Biomembranes
We study supramolecules in the biomembrane to monitor and control membrane transport processes.
Nanomaterials
We equip nanomaterials and surfaces with new functions using supramolecular chemistry.
